Weary shoppers can take a dip and rejuvenate at the Thermae Bath Spa and admire the glorious views from the rooftop pool.

If you are in town on 13th December, you can witness the intriguing Santa Lucia parade which sees kayaks sail through the canals decorated in festive lights and decorations.

Verona, Italy

Verona’s Christmas market has the most spectacular backdrop with buildings like the Palazzo della Region and the Arche Scaligere which can be admired whilst enjoying a hot chocolate or a Vin Brulé. 

This bustling yet compact market is set in the heart of the Piazza Dei Signori and is helpfully contained in one area. We defy you not to feel Christmassy when meandering around the Christmas markets of Budapest. Our favourite has to be the delightful market at Vörösmarty Square, which is full of traditional Hungarian handicrafts, delicious food which includes the Hungarian staple – Chimney cake.
